Intro: Operational Excellence Academy

How can I apply new technologies to improve operational efficiency? How can I develop a culture of continuous improvement? How can I scale up operational excellence initiatives?

Operational excellence is hard – and the goal posts constantly move in response to customer expectations and competitor activity. Get it right, however, and it will transform your commercial performance.
Customers demand high quality, tailored products on a fast time scale, requiring efficient and agile operations to meet these demands. The workforce is growing increasingly innovative and empowered. Advanced digital technologies open up new possibilities for improvement and excellence, and come with challenges of their own. New business models are driving a complete rethink of manufacturing operations.

All of these factors present opportunities for huge gains in efficiency and competitiveness for those who integrate and leverage them successfully. In an increasingly competitive landscape, manufacturers of all shapes and sizes must make a commitment to world-class manufacturing, from the organisational to the team level.

As part of our Digital Manufacturing Week 2019, we are launching our Operational Excellence Academy – 14th November – a one-day summit bringing together operational excellence and continuous improvement professionals from across UK manufacturing to rethink the status quo. Through a mix of thought-leading keynotes and expertly-led roundtable discussions, we’ll be tackling the most important issues through three key streams: Culture, Process & Quality, and Waste.
