SMART FACTORY EXPO | 16 - 17 NOVEMBER, LIVERPOOL

Smart Factory Expo will take place atExhibition Centre Liverpool.  Please note the show dates and opening times: 

Day 1: Wednesday 16 November - 9:00 am to 17:00 pm. 
Exhibitors have access to the hall from 08:00.

Day 2: Thursday 17 November - 9:00 am to 16:00 pm. 
Exhibitors have access to the hall from 08:00.

Most of your questions will be answered within the Exhibitor Manual or Exhibitor Platform.  You can access a copy of the exhibitor manual through the exhibitor portal.

Staffing

How do I add my team members?

Each team member that will be manning your stand will need to have registered to attend Smart Factory Expo through the Exhibitor Portal.  Please add your team members by choosing ‘Manage Badges’ from the menu bar > Add new badge > SFE Exhibitor or SFE Speaker (if you have a member that is presenting in one of the Smart Factory Expo Solution Theatres). 

How many exhibitor passes do I have for my team?

The maximum number of exhibitor passes for team members allowed should be listed in your contract. Your badges have been allocated to your account in the Exhibitor Portal. 

Can I add more team members?

Yes, you can.  Once you have registered the maximum number of team members as per your contract, then you can just simply register and pay for any additional exhibitor passes at a cost of £95 each. 

Someone from my team is a speaker at Manufacturing Leaders’ Summit/SME Growth Summit, do I need to register them as a team member?
If your team member is a speaker at the Manufacturing Leaders’ Summit or SME Growth Summit, then you will need to register them as Speakers in the equivalent portal: 
When and where do I receive my exhibitor badge?
You will receive an email with your QR registration code prior to the start of the event. 
Use your QR code to collect your exhibitor badge from the registration desk. 
  • Tuesday 15 November between 14:00 – 17:00
  • Wednesday 16 November from 08:00 (dedicated exhibitor registration desk from 08:00-09:00)
  • Thursday 17 November from 08:00
 NB: you are only able to collect your own badge and will not be able to collect badges for colleagues. 
Car parking

Information on car parking is listed in the exhibitor manual. 

Marketing

How do I edit my company logo and profile?

You can amend your company details by clicking ‘Exhibitor details’ in the exhibitor portal. 

Where can I access marketing assets?

You can download marketing assets from the exhibitor portal (located on the menu bar). 

How can I order a leader capture app?

You can purchase a license(s) and device(s) if required through the exhibitor portal or onsite. 

What happens to my leads if I experience Wi-Fi connection problems?

In the unlikely event you experience a problem connecting to the Wi-Fi you will still be able to capture any leads using the app license.  Your leads will automatically upload once you are connected to Wi-Fi.

Can I have a list of your recommended suppliers?

This information is listed in the exhibitor manual.  For any service not listed please contact Maelstrom Event Solutions whose details are at the bottom of this document.  

Where do I order electrics for my stand?

Please be aware that 1 x 500w socket and 2 x spotlights are included in each shell scheme. Open space only stands packages have to order electrics. This information is listed in the exhibitor manual 

Where do I order furniture for my stand? 

This information is listed in the exhibitor manual 

Where do I order AV for my stand?

This information is listed in the exhibitor manual.  

Do you have a recommended graphic designer?

This information is listed in the exhibitor manual.  

I’m serving beverages and/or food on my stand. Do I need to pay corkage?

Yes, you do. Please liaise with the venue caterers who are listed in the exhibitor manual.  

Where do I order my catering requirements?

The catering supplier is listed in the exhibitor manual.  

I require internet access, where do I order this?

The internet supplier is listed in the exhibitor manual.  

I have heavy equipment that needs lifting.

The logistics supplier is listed within the exhibitor manual.  

Do you have recommended insurance supplier?

This information is listed in the exhibitor manual.  

Can you recommend local accommodation?

Special rates have been negotiated at a number of hotels close to the conference venue, please click here. For further information please refer to the exhibitor manual.  

What are the arrangements for deliveries to the venue?

This information is listed in the exhibitor manual.  Please note that deliveries will not be accepted until 15 November and all items must be removed from the venue by 21:00 on 17 November.

When can I access the exhibition hall to set up?

Specific timings are listed in the exhibitor manual, along with how to access the loading bay.

We are using a contractor, do I need to register them?

Yes, they will need to be registered for both the build day and breakdown.  How to do this is listed in the exhibitor manual.  

Will my stand be secure overnight?

There is 24-hour CCTV in the hall for the duration of the tenancy period.  Please see the ‘Security’ section within the exhibitor manual for further details.  

When can I breakdown my stand?

Strictly no stands are to be broken down until the show has closed.  Specific timings are listed in the exhibitor manual.  

I am exhibiting in Innovation Alley, what can I put on my stand?

There is limited space on the stands in Innovation Alley, therefore no free-standing equipment is allowed including pop up banners.  Please note your ledge size which will be listed in the exhibitor manual.  

What’s included in my stand?
  • Shell: Shell scheme, fascia name board, 1 x 500w socket, 2 x spotlights and carpet.  
  • Open: space only.  
  • Innovation alley: Innovation alley ledge and fascia name board. 

Build and Exhibition Stand Queries

Where is my delivery?

All deliveries and materials must be delivered carriage paid, direct to the stand and clearly labelled.  If your delivery is not on your stand, please check with your courier.

When can I access the exhibition hall to set up?

This depends on the stand you have, please refer to the exhibitor manual for specific timings, along with how to access the loading bay.

Electrics on my stand are not working

Exhibit 3Sixty will be on hand throughout build-up to help you with any queries for the show.  They will be situated at the front of the exhibition hall. 

The furniture I’ve ordered has not arrived

My internet connection I ordered is not working

Maelstrom will be on hand throughout build-up to help you with any queries for the show.  They will be situated within the organiser’s office.

Package Extras

I have a theatre presentation slot booked.

The Smart Factory Exhibitor team will reach out to you to secure a suitable timeslot at the time of your booking.  To ensure your presentation is marketed they will need the name of your speaker, title, company, bio and a photograph, along with the topic; a 10-word title and 20–30-word description.  The sooner you provide the information, the sooner we will be able to promote your slot.  NB: please provide all content by Monday 3 October to guarantee inclusion in venue signage.  

I have a theatre presentation slot booked and not sure of the time/day/theatre

Please check the event agenda to see when your presentation is scheduled. 

I missed my speaking slot, can I re-schedule?

This will depend upon availability but please be aware we may not be able to update the agenda on the event website or signage within the exhibition hall to accommodate your new time. 

Can I hang a banner above my stand?

Yes, you can but restrictions do apply.  You cannot have a banner that is larger in width than your stand and will be subject to availability.  See the exhibitor manual for further details.

What is my deadline for...
  • Supplier deadlines are listed within the exhibitor manual.  Please be aware if these are missed, as a surcharge may be applied. 
  • Submission deadline for required forms for exhibiting are listed within the exhibitor manual.
